The original Headway Intermediate was the first coursebook we wrote in the series, and inevitably we learned a lot from the writing of it. Teachers from all over the world have not only told us what they did like about it, but also what they didn't like about it. We were very keen to try again at this level because we wanted to rectify what we perceived as imbalances. Hence the New Headway Intermediate!
